 Introduction
Materials Science and Engineering Course aims at training
students into those who are able to contribute to the society
self-reliantly
as engineers or researchers on materials. To accomplish this aim,
those objectives, knowledge and abilities of (A)-(L), are
declared

Knowledge and Abilities about Materials Science and
Engineering,
(A) Knowledge about properties, functions and production processes
of materials and abilities to apply the knowledge.
(B) Basic knowledge of measurement, analysis and evaluation of
material's properties and abilities to apply the knowledge.
Knowledge and Abilities about Natural Sciences,
(C) Basic knowledge of mathematics, physics and chemistry for
a further understanding of engineering and abilities to apply
them to engineering.
(D) Basic knowledge of computer calculation, information processing
and device controlling and abilities to make use of them.
Fundamentals as Engineers,
(E) Abilities of analyzing
problems, of multilateral investigation, and to provide a solution.
(F) Abilities to accomplish researches or developing activities
of survey, planning, enforcement and evaluation self-reliantly.

about relationship between research and society, and about organization
and teamwork in companies and abilities
to act as a leader or a member.
