Assoc. Prof. Yoshimura made a lecture titled “Development of ultra-low power consumption magnetic recording device -New recording method using new functional thin film material-” at the Heisei 30th Citizen course of Akita University Regional Creation Center "Research introduction of the Faculty of Engineering Science that creates the future of Akita and Japan" held at Akita college plaza.

October, 2018
Assoc. Prof. Yoshimura introduced Akita University to students interested in studying abroad in Japan at JAPAN HIGHER EDUCATION FAIR 2018 held at VIT University, India.

Yoshimura lab’s post doctoral fellow, M. Kuppan made a presentation titled ”Properties of magnetic Kerr effect of (Bi1-xLax)(Fe0.75Co0.25)O3 multiferroic thin films with perpendicular anisotropy fabricated by a pulsed DC reactive sputtering technique” and awarded most outstanding presentation at the International Workshop on Materials and Applications (IWMA 2018) held at VIT University, India.

Assoc. Professor Yoshimura made an invited lecture titled “High Functional Multiferroic Thin Films for Novel Magnetic Devices with System of Magnetization Reversal by Electric Field” at the International Workshop on Materials and Applications (IWMA 2018) held at VIT University, India.

September 2018
Yoshimura lab’s research paper titled “Fabrication of highly qualified (Bi1-xBax)FeO3 multiferroic thin films by using a pulsed DC reactive sputtering method and demonstration of magnetization reversal by electric field” was published in Japanese Journal of Applied Physics, Selected Topics in Applied Physics.

Assoc. Prof. Yoshimura and Senior lecturer Yamada exhibited the booth at Innovation JAPAN 2018 -University trade fair & Business matching- held at Tokyo big sight.

Assoc. Prof. Yoshimura made a visit to College of Science, National Changhua University of Education, Taiwan which concludes Memorandum of Understanding on Student Exchange with Graduate School of Engineering Science, Akita University.

Assoc. Prof. Yoshimura and Yoshimura lab’s Dr. M. Kuppan, post doctoral fellow made research presentations at the 21st INTERNATIONAL CONFERENCE ON MAGNETISM (ICM2018) held in San Francisco, the U.S.

Assoc. Prof. Yoshimura invited Prof. S. Kalainathan from VIT University, India to serve as a guest professor for two months.

Research Center of Advanced Materials for Breakthrough Technology, Yoshimura lab and Yamada lab were established due to the reorganization.
